Betty had a very exciting past weekend as we got to fly to North Carolina to compete in this years Queen's City Tune Up (QCTU). I think the name "tune up" especially applied to the Betty's as we ended up learning a lot about where our team is, and where we want to be when we peak, come Regionals and Nationals this year.
We ended up going 4-4 this weekend, with 4 of those games coming to universe point. We couldn't pull through on universe against teams, FSU, Michigan, and Pennstate on Saturday's games, however, on Sunday we won on universe against Georgia Tech to win the CHUMPIONSHIP (the u is not a typo). You can see the full scores and schedule HERE
Coach Loren wasn't able to be with us this weekend, due to his wife's pregnancy. Special shout out to Loren and Elizabeth for a happy and healthy delivery! Please help welcome the newest addition to the Frisbee community!
Coach Beau and Steph were able to help pump our team up and keep ourselves organized in the absence of Loren. We also got an AMAZING surprise visit from the ONE AND ONLY K$!!!!! She admitted she only came to munch on the free continental breakfast from our hotel, but she also provided great sideline snacks, AMAZING twitter updates through the weekend (seriously, I think you found a new career path), and gave awesome pump up talks in the huddle when we needed them most. Thanks Kailee, we've missed you!!
This was only the first of many tournaments that the Betty's will have this semester. We are working hard to continue to improve each and everyday! Our next tournament will be March 5-6th in St. Louis for MWTD. Thanks for all the Betty Love and support this weekend and always!
